Prize Winner Olivier Berggruen Prize 2023

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)
Piano Sonata No. 8 in A minor, K. 310

Johannes Brahms (1833-1897)
Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op. 24
3 Intermezzi, Op. 117

This concert will be recorded live on 8 August in the Rougemont Church and broadcast on 10 August, 7.30 pm.

Born in 2007 into a family of musicians, Alexandra Dovgan does everything faster than anyone else, without however bearing the “stigma” of being a child prodigy. Grigory Sokolov, who has taken her under his wing, sums it up very well: “If her playing is indeed exceptional, nothing in her music indicates that it is a child playing, what we hear is the interpretation of a musician who is already an adult”. After her debut in 2021 at the Lauenen Church, she is back again with a new high-flying recital at the Rougemont Church.

Thank you. A great privilege, being given the gift of hearing and seeing Alexandra Dovgan’s recital of extremely high quality.

Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Best of the Best Piano ever played by mankind.☝🏻🥇🏆
